Were you the kid or are you the kid that would spend hours looking at the funny or clever pictures in favorite picture books? Did you have favorites back then? Do you have new favorites now? What makes them special to you? What makes them dynamic or clever? What is it that makes them great?
Here we are to help. Together we'll work to figure out what makes great work really shine or going a little further to find out how to incorporate those ideas into our work in a way that works for us. Many of the contests will feel especially oriented towards illustration, use this to your advantage to really express yourself. Try using the style of a favorite illustrator. Mimic ideas they incorporate. Make sure in the end its your work and not a reproduction of theirs but really get into these contests.

Ideas are in work to move these submissions into a printed format which may happen with increased interest in the future. We are a community of non-professions that seek to help eachother realize our dreams.
